60th Barnsley Rainbows made mocktails as part of the Barnsley West Christmas Challenge badge.

62nd Barnsley Brownies and Guides and Hoyland Nether Rangers went Carol singing at Fitzwilliam Court (a residential assisted living facility). They all had a great time and the residents enjoyed seeing the young people.

We had a great day for our circular County Walk from Hope to Castleton. This included a visit to the Hollowford Christmas Market and the Christmas Tree Festival at St Edmund’s Church to add a festive touch!

82nd Doncaster Rangers had an action packed Christmas meeting! They made Christmas Trees from corks and also completed activities from the region 12 Days of Christmas Challenge badge including seeing how far they could jump for “lords a leaping” playing hoopla for “gold rings” and singing Frere Jaques in a round for “french hens”.

23rd Doncaster(1st Carcroft) Bownies and Guides held a Christmas fundraiser. They sold crafts that the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides had made, held a raffle and had lots of traditional games. Our intrepid young leader Lois took it upon herself to get the girls to sing some songs which they performed in front of all our visitors. We raised £261. One of the Brownies has been making and selling items and donated the money raising a further £25.10 and another Brownie with their Mum’s help is running an Avon raffle to be drawn closer to Christmas. All the funds raised will be going towards the county trips that the girls are looking forward to for next year.
