Congratulations and Well Done!

Massive congratulations to Madison, a member of 82nd Doncaster Rangers who was recently presented with a Region Crown Award by Jan Ali, Deputy Region Chief Commissioner.

This is the first Crown Award that has been presented in Girlguiding South Yorkshire!

The Crown award may be awarded to any exceptional member of Girlguiding North East England between the ages of 4 and 18 who exemplifies the Guide Laws in all aspects of their everyday life. Madison was nominated by Judith, one of her Guide Leaders, and the letters of support included how Madison exemplifies a the Guide Laws at school and dancing lessons.

Well done Madison, we are extremely proud of you!

23rd Doncaster (1st Carcroft) Guides in Doncaster North Division presented their 1st 2 guide bronze awards. The girls completed their take action theme award by taking action in their local community by tree planting and litter picking. Organised and helped run a Christmas fundraiser for the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, had a Peer Education session, learnt about fake vs real pictures in the media. They have lived out of a bag, decided on safe spaces in the village and come together to play board games and drink tea and cake to keep people entertained. Well done to all the girls in the unit.

Congratulations to Isobel, Morgan and Juno of Hoyland Nether Rangers in Barnsley East Division who have completed their Gold Ranger Award. They have been members of Guiding from Rainbows through to Rangers and they have worked hard to complete the award before they leave for University. We wish them all well for the future, you are amazing.

Congratulations also to Charlotte and Ella of Hoyland Nether Rangers on completing their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. They were presented in the unit the coronation party.

Megan and Emily, Young Leaders at 51st Doncaster Rainbows and 51st Doncaster Guides in Doncaster South Division were recently presented with their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards which they worked extremely hard to achieve. Well done to Elaine who has recently completed her Leadership Qualification with 82nd Doncaster Rainbows in Doncaster West Division and was presented with her certificate and badge by Jan Ali, Deputy Region Chief Commissioner.
