Learning Walk for Adults

13th April 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Girlguiding South Yorkshire will be offering a local, low-level walk led by our County Walking Adviser Janet Cain. The walk will start and end at Hesley Wood Guide House and the aim is to support leaders to feel confident taking girls out on local walks, especially if staying at Guide House. This walk is one of many taking place across North East England Region to support leaders to get out and about with girls in their local area. The walk will be held on the afternoon of 13th April, straight after the water safety training being held at Guide House. If you are interesed in attending both events, please book on to the walk using the link below and the water safety training here.

Description of walk: The circular route is 8km/5miles and follows paths and tracks towards Wentworth and then back to Hesley Wood Guide House.  There is some walking along roads (on a pavement) at the beginning and end of the walk.  The route is on OS Explorer Map 278, Sheffield & Barnsley.  Please bring this map if you have a copy, printouts of the route will be provided.

Practical details:
